Hi, I'm Gabrielle
I am so grateful to live in such a wondrous place as the Frederick Watershed. I would never have believed that just a few hundred feet of elevation would create an entirely different ecosystem than what I had experienced spending all my life in other parts of Maryland. Everywhere I look I see lush ferns, vibrant green moss and mountain laurel. You can't be outside without seeing or hearing the native wildlife, and I can say from experience that black bears are frequent visitors. The rock-strewn trails wind through peaceful forests and lead to hidden waterfalls and ponds. This delightful place has sparked a love of nature for me and deepened my respect for the majestic planet that supports us. Sacred Spring Soap was born from that.
My intention with each and every item I create is to infuse it with LOVE - beginning with the ingredients that are used. The spring water is an integral part of that. I was inspired to use spring water versus the traditionally recommended distilled water after learning about Dr. Masaru Emoto, a doctor of alternative medicine. He discovered by studying frozen water crystals that water is connected to our consciousness. Positive expressions such as gratitude or kindness created beautiful, complete crystals while negative expressions caused malformed crystals. The water from the spring comes directly from Mother Earth, a living, loving being that creates a foundation for our existence. I can think of no greater LOVE than this!
The soaps get their gentle yet delectable scents from essential oils derived from plants. Aromatherapy is a form of complementary and alternative medicine which involves using essential oils to support emotional and physical well-being. Studying this powerful healing modality has become a passion of mine over the last several years. The unique formula of my soaps give you a simple way to enjoy the benefits of aromatherapy right in your shower.
All of the other ingredients in each type of soap are completely natural as well, using organic plant oils as the base, and herbs and clay to give them their beautiful colors.
The 100% cotton washcloths, soap sacks and scrubbies enhance the experience of using my skin-loving soaps.
The simple acts of daily self-care rituals are something many of us take for granted, but the energy and intention we put into them can be powerfully transforming. I hope that my products will inspire you to find your still, quiet center and radiate LOVE to your body and your spirit.
